Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
TuneLocal ("we", "us") operates the TuneLocal platform and website at tunelocal.live. This policy explains what we collect and why. We aim to collect only what we need to run the service.
Information we collect
- Account information — the email address and password you use to sign up. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
- Broadcaster profile — if you become a host: your station name, description, call sign, frequency, category, location (ZIP → approximate coordinates), links, and any logo/banner images you upload.
- Location— when you use "Near you," your browser may share your approximate location to find nearby stations. You can decline and enter a ZIP instead. We do not store your device location.
- Listening activity — anonymous or account-linked play events used to give broadcasters aggregate audience analytics.
- Payments — donations, memberships, and sponsorships are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; we retain records of the transaction (amount, status) to deliver the service.
How we use information
To operate and improve TuneLocal: authenticate you, power discovery and location-based search, give broadcasters analytics about their audience, process payments and support, and communicate service messages such as password resets.
Sharing
We don't sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who help us run the platform — Supabase (database, auth, storage), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting) — only as needed to provide the service. Broadcaster profile details and accepted sponsorships are public by design.
Your choices
You can edit or remove your station details in Settings, decline location access, and request account deletion by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated content.
